frequently asked questions
I'm having problems playing the video once it has finished downloading. The video is black or there is no sound.
Make sure your video playing software is up to date. Especially if you're using an older version of windows. If you're not sure how to up date your video player software, or still having problems, we recommend you download this FREE video player called VLC.
No videos appearing on the page?
Go to "Tools">click "Internet Options" this will open a window with the 'General" tab upfront)>Under "Browsing History" click the "Delete" button>click "Delete Cookies"> click "yes" to the "Are you sure" message>close out of Tools>Then click on "Video Sleep Solutions" from the nav menu again and this will reload the page.
How many times can I watch the video once I have paid for it?
It's yours to keep! Watch it as many times as you like. It will be stored on your computer.
How long will the video take to download?
Our videos range in length. Some from 6 minutes to 1 hour. These has an impact on the size of the video file you will download and also depends on the speed of your internet. As a rough guide allow between 15 to 60 minutes.
Are you having difficulty deciding which sleep solution video is most appropriate for your situation?
Having difficulty deciding what your problem is? It is important to know that you can do things in any order you feel comfortable with but if you are having difficulty not knowing where to start then we suggest;
1. You watch "Consistency and diagnosing the problem" video and the "Why 'cry it out', 'controlled crying' and similar aren't helpful" video
Then;
If your baby is sleeping in a different room but you are feeding/rocking to sleep and/or they are waking multiple times a night
1. Deal with the going to sleep at the beginning of the night first (therefore you would choose the ‘Feeding to Sleep' or ‘The Weaning of Props' video.
2. Once you have resolved this issue and your baby is still night waking, then look at the ‘Multiple Night Waking' video (age appropriate) to help cut back/eliminate the night wakings.
If you are co-sleeping or sharing the same room and you are feeding or rocking your baby to sleep and want to change this arrangement then we suggest you
1. Watch the video on ‘Co-sleeping to Independent Sleeping'. This helps deal with moving your baby out of sharing a room with you first then
2. Deal with the going to sleep at the beginning of the night, so watch the feeding to sleep or the ‘The Weaning of Props' video then
3. If your baby is still night waking, have a look at the ‘Multiple Night Waking' video to help reduce or eliminate the night wakings, depending on the age of your baby.
Have you received an error that says the site or specific pages are blocked?
This maybe your individual settings for Internet Explorer. It is possible that you have set up a higher security setting than normal. If this keeps remaining an issue, this can be changed from within Internet Explorer by choosing Tools -> Internet Options -> Security. It's likely that you have set the security slider all the way to the top to 'Very High' so try moving it back to the middle. The other possibility is that Flash player isn't installed. This can be installed from here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
