Hi all. Firstly, I want to say I have been through it! I can also understand how daunting it can feel for parents to not know what to do or where to go to for help. It can also be hard to even admit that your child does not sleep through the night for fear of judgement. Amazingly our children and their sleep issues can unfortunately sometimes make incredible parents feel like they have failed.

Our son was unsettled for the first 12 months. I could not bring myself to follow much of the advice because it primarily involved leaving him to cry.

It soon became apparent to me that many other parents felt and still feel conflicted about leaving their baby to cry. The lack of easily accessible information and alternative methods became obvious.

I chose to go back to University to build on my BA and studied Attachment Theory at postgraduate level. I utilised this knowledge to help many parents and developed my business. I became increasingly aware that many parents had limited accessible resources available to them. This website was therefore developed for parents to use.

I am currently the Sleep Expert for the very popular 'Littlies Magazine'. I have also had the privilege to write for other New Zealand parenting magazines and other publications such as 'Pink magazine', 'North and South', and published on the Brainwave website. Internationally, I have had the opportunity to provide articles for the wonderful South African magazine called ‘Raising Kids'.

This is all about sharing knowledge so parents can make informed choices.
